Four of the ones I measured are about 3-1/4" with the hole being 2-1/4" from the end of the casting the other one was 4-7/8" with holes being at 2-3/4" and 4-1/4".
For maximum movement of the sleeve hitch adapter I would think that you would want the hole in the pin to be directly above the hole in your sleeve hitch adapter.
