I read some threads on here about the steering upgrade that a guy can do to a cub cadet to make the steering easier, I have seen them on ebay, you get a bearing, a steel shim and a locknut for $35.00, some of you posted saying you bought a NICE 605 bearing for 2-3 dollars. I have tried NAPA auto parts, hardware stores and other auto part stores in my area, no one can find a NICE 605 bearing, my question: What is it?? Is NICE the manufacturer of the bearing? Everyone is looking at me like I'm crazy, they say such a bearing doesn't exsist, I know they do cause everyone is selling the kit and getting rich!!! Any more numbers or names on the bearings that you could give me would help. Or would any thrust bearing with a 5/8 hole in the middle work? I would like to be able to buy it at a store close to me cause a $10.00 shipping charge on a $3.00 bearing is out of the question. I have even checked Grainger and McMaster Carr and they don't have it or maybe they do but it doesn't come up when I put NICE 605 in their search. Sorry to be so stupid but I need more info. Thanks
