Back at it again today. The focus is to get the slop out of the steering box.

The hydraulic valve body is mounted to the steering column.







Column is out. Time to take a look.




Well, I can see they greased it. I looks dirty and nasty, but it is a good sign. It's mostly grease. Some previous owner left plenty of grease on all the grease fittings.




Now peek inside the steering box. I looks ok inside. Plenty of grease, no sign of water or anything else getting in there.




The pin that goes in to the gear on the steering box is definitely warn.





Well, off to order some parts. A new pin, a gasket, and good to go.
