I have a nice new shiny mower in the garage, but I couldn't bear the thought of a maiden voyage in wet grass. So, I fired up the 1440 and went at it. As I mowed, the new deck belt and spindles worked freely, I had no fuel supply issues, and the charging system seemed to function the entire time. All of that is thanks to the info on this site.
At the risk of jinxing any good juju... today I took my cub out to mow and it ran the best it has since I've owned it. I mowed for 2 hours with no issues. This is the first time I've felt confident that she's still got life left in her!
Next up is Sam's rear end work, probably over the winter - drilling holes in the axle tubes and maybe getting some braces. Thanks again fellas!

That's great to hear from both of you!
I should have done some mowing today with the 1864, but I felt more like smoking some pork and drinking beer with my sidekick. So I did nothing with my Cub today, and had a good time doing it!
