Very conservative estimates put it over 3000 hours!.. It always gets run at least 75 hrs per year.. some years in the past we ran it over 100 hours a year. Engine got tired in the mid 80's... .010 over on the bore and .010 under on the crank solved that issue. We still run it regular... It has been an amazing machine!  |
Now that's very believable. Cool you still have it!
I have my granddad's 71. When I put a motor in it, it will be #4. I wish I knew how many hours it had on it! No way to even estimate. Plus, I doubt all those engines were well taken care of well. I know how granddad used his stuff.
