I'd put more grease in them. The possibility that they all 3 failed at once due to non use is extremely unlikely.

I've got 2 Habans, never rebuilt spindles in either. One of them is a lot noisier than the other. It probably needs new bearings, but has been running "loud" for a couple seasons, no slop in any of the spindles so I'm going to keep running it a while longer.
