That does look to be the same box. I'm sure they were available for everything they manufactured at the time. With being 18", there aren't too many places it could mount on a Cub Cadet. Maybe on the side, but I don't think there is enough room. I'd say the rear is a pretty good place for it, as long as you still have access to your drawbar.
