The issue is the 754-3001 belt seems too small at least for my application. I've loosened the mule drive pulley on the right as far as it will go (the lock nut is at the end of the bolt) and it barely fit. I struggled to get it on over the PTO pulley. After two cuts, the belt flew apart and tangled around the middle pulley on the deck and tied itself in a knot. The center pulley is slightly larger on the GT54 than the one on my GT48, the 754-3001 belt fit ok on that. That's why I was thinking there's a slightly bigger belt for the GT54.
