The center pulley on my 54" deck is ~ 5.69" outside diameter.
The center pulley on my 48" deck is ~ 5.06" outside diameter.
I purchased the 54" deck new and has never been apart.
On the 48", the center pulley is smaller to increase tip speed to (I'm guessing) be equal to the 54" deck.
I install the PTO belt around the pulleys before I roll the deck rearward to lock into position. No stretching required.
