May of 1976 and I was soon to report to Ft. Campbell, ky. there was a new GMC dealer opened in Rockford, Ill. . For the grand opening they had some GMC short bed step side with the inline 6, 3 speed on the tree ,bench seat and no rear bumper. out the door for $4,895.00
I put over 300 miles on it the first night I had it, gas was still less then $0.50 a gal at that time.
I put a lot of miles on that truck in the next three years and I still miss it a lot.
I look around from time to time thinking I may run into one , (and I have been saving money jest incase I do.)
But if I was to come up with a nice chev as the one you have will I could live with it and have one great time again.
