Working on the Cadet 70 today, changing the oil and trying to get the timing set properly. Reached under the engine to put the oil plug back in and felt something that didn't seem quite right, so got down and took a closer look. The front axle pin has been replaced at some point in time by what appears to be a hitch pin. It seems to be working fine, so probably going to leave it like that for now. It is held in place by a cotter pin where the coil pin should be. Just figured I would share a previous owners mod that I thought was interesting .
