Deck swapping 2185/GT2542
While waiting on a replacement PTO for my 2185 I decided to try the deck on my GT2542. The deck is the 48" model (301?) and it worked pretty well. The 2542 has smaller tires so I can't lower the deck all the way down and level 4 on the 2542 is equal to level 3 on the 2185. I did not swap the deck lift assist arms. I didn't even check the 2542 frame to see if they'd bolt on. I think the bigger deck cuts better and it definitely is better built.
