My PTO clutch kicks out about one lap of the yard. Apparently it's worn to the point that it cannot engage once it expands from heat.
My Cub uses the 5218-6 clutch which is the non-adjustable version. Looking at it, I think I can close the airgap by machining the center hub where it contacts the front (outer) bearing. My question is how to know how much to take off.
Anyone else here tried this?
BTW, the cheapest clutch I found was $125, which is probably what I'll end up doing. But I did find the same clutch here for $21.99!
