First, Welcome to OCC....

From what you are describing, I would suggest starting by looking at the Neutral Safety Switch, located in the Clutch Pedal linkage. The switch could be bad or a wire fell off.

See attached image. Focus on item #18. That tab pushes against the plunger on the Neutral Safety Switch.
