Both the condenser and points wires are connected to negative on the coil. The condenser clamp is connected securely behind the right coil bracket bolt same as the one I replaced. Then there is a black wire coming off coil positive that goes over to the alternator. If all that is not right, then it's been wrong for the past 6 years.
