Ok, my first inquiry here. Picked up 3235 with 54 inch deck, Sims cab and snow blade. The differential has a hole about the size of a soda can bottom. I was also given the parts that used to be inside said differential. Owner said he was just in his driveway and it blew. I took pics of the hitch plate and damage which I am posting. I think the tractor was used to pull much more than it was capable of. The pics shows damage to the ball hole and it is bent downward. Has this happened to anyone else under normal use? If so what if any upgrades are out there to lower the chances of it happening again.
I am picking up a rolling chassis this weekend with working hydraulics so I intend to replace the rear on my tractor. Since its out though I was thinking on some preventive maintenance before bolting it up to the frame.
I also have a 3204 with blower, triple bagger and thatcher. that I use almost to the point of abuse. Pulling trees out of swamp etc. so I know these are tough tractors but this 3235 looks like someone missed a gear at 5 grand.
