I agree with you guys, my 1650 idles real slow
That said, if I snap the throttle open @ idle, the first and second firing impulse
with the 18* timing advance, is awful noisy in the block.
kinda makes you grit your teeth, so I ease the throttle up.
Guess that is why they recommend a faster idle speed.
