I have a cub 106 with a k241 that threw a rod, finally got around to replacing it and the new rod bolts backed almost all the way out after running for 20 minutes and now the end cap is destroyed. Have a 12hp sitting in the garage but it does not fit because it has the deep oil pan. Can I trim the rod dipper on the 12hp and use my flat oil pan from the 10hp without destroying the engine? I need to get this tractor going before the snow really starts to fly. Any help is appreciated !
