X-2 what Roland said. Sounds like a bad wire issue. Seeing it worked, then didn't that soon.
Did you happen to leave/bump the PTO when you got off? Or someone was playing around it while you weren't there?
Had one of the grandkids flip the PTO one time on me. Went to use the tractor, nothing. Took a few minutes to figure out what happened.
