Not many Series 1 left to know what a lot of hours means. However, those things blew up like popcorn under warranty (and shortly after it expired), my dad saw more than 1 come in the shop. They also caused a lot of folks to turn "green" and never look back. At this point--30 year old engine, I'd say any Series 1 is a roll of the dice.

Two things I have heard on those, stay off hills and banks and ALWAYS check the oil to see if it has gas in it. One of dad's customers caught his engine full of gas twice.

So what you looking at, a 6 or 782? Been a lot on CL lately. Got a friend down east working out a private sale of his right now.
