My take on this, Your tractor do what pleases you. Just because it is a 126 does not mean it is any thing special. I have a 1650 with a loader and it has proven to be one of the handiest things I have bought in years. The wife uses it almost daily when she is gardening and I use it to lift and move stuff all of the time. When cleaning mowed decks I just lift them up and move it to the power washer. I say go for it. If it was not for the wife I would move the loader to a stick shift tractor as many times you need three hands to operate the steering, loader, and hydro lever. I guess I need to add a foot control to the hydro. If you do put a loader on it I would consider adding a later model axle with 1 inch spindles, but you could also wait and see. You may never have an issue depending on how you use it.
Here is a picture to get the juices flowing. It is a 147 but looks the same as your 126 would with a Danco loader. Thought I should note that before someone corrects me.
