On the hydro models, I do recommend the replacement rubber mounts from Cub. They are pricey but will last quite a while (they are stiffer than OEM) and if properly installed they do help isolate most of the vibration.

They key here is "if properly installed".

I've found the rubber mounts from Cub help with vibration the most when the rebound top mount is just barely snugged up against the upper washer.

You'll find people who support the solid mounts as well. I like the challenge personally of getting the QuietLine models to be some real smooth runners, as they can be with some patience if the rubber mounts are used.
