I don't consider a hood, grille or fenders unnecessary. They serve a purpose and change the look of the machine if missing. I also understand that a shield has a purpose. But, I also know where not to stick my fingers when around equipment. So, some things are just in the way. Also, it is just a small piece of bent metal. If you are handy at all with metal, one could be made pretty quick. It would take longer for the paint to dry than to make it. I have a CPE-2 parts book. When I stated that nothing appears to be missing, I was referring more to the fact the OP said it was missing some king of tensioner. I don't see anything missing pertinent to the operation of the machine. I have no idea what he thinks is missing. |
Nope didn’t touch it. Must just have read it wrong.
I was just replying to him saying that it was missing a cover and tensioner. I can’t see a clear picture of the tensioner, but I’d assume it’s there, and it’s definitely missing the cover.
OP The only tension adjustment on those blowers is the two bolts that go through the mounting block for the drive sprocket. It’s just s chain around the auger, and one around that sprocket. Make yourself familiar with the technical library here and you’ll find pretty much everything you’ll ever need to know about these things.
