I don't know if I would say that Cubs are better than any of the other main brand tractors. I think that we are drawn towards what we grow up with or what we get first. Like the Chevy or Ford debate. My dad always had Fords including a 65 Mustang, hence I have owned over 45 Fords and 8 or so Mustangs. Other than a couple Vettes no GM for me. We never had any Cub Cadets growing up but my dad did have several IH tractors we used to raise tomatoes (90,000 plants I hated it). So when it came to get a tractor to teach my 10 year old to start cutting grass I went with the IH lineage. First we had an 872, But being 6'3" and over 300 I felt more at home on a Super. As far as Deere I know they are great tractors but for me they are way over priced and just my opinion but Deere owners are kinda like the BMW owners of the tractor world. I also think we are all drawn to different colors and shapes more than others. Yellow is my favorite color and I like the look of the steel nose better than the cyclopes.
