There are about a dozen videos in this series that discuss all the different aspects of CAS.
There are about 100 active competitors in the Richmond, VA area, and 5 clubs within an hour of Richmond. You can shoot at least 6 times a month if you want at one or the other club. (I shoot maybe twice/three times/month). A bunch of these guys go to matches in NC every year, including the NC State Championship, though I have not done that yet.
I'm shooting the rifle and pistols here in a match in 2016. The guy standing behind me is the timer operator/range officer. There is a major emphasis on safety, and lots of rules around loading and handling the guns.
