I was able to remove my driveshaft without moving the engine or transmission.. it was tight but I managed to get it out.. mine needed new boots on the CV joints and i did the belt while i was there!

Only thing I can add was removing the oil filter on the rear end gave more room to get the drive shaft out and back in. Time it right and dump the rearend oil at same time.
