I’ve messaged Jeff in the past about my 1782 and this issue. Mine also has an issue where the center bolt that threads into the shaft either fell out or wasn’t put back in as the threads are damaged and someone drilled and tapped the outside of the coupler for a 1/4 x20 set screw and installed it which mucked up the splines further than normal. Needless to say lots of movement and leaking seal because of it. $600 for the shaft ouch. Jeff’s price on the coupler is great and hoping the longer spline engagement will work in my case when I finally get time to tear it apart.
