Be careful if you work it in the brush with the mower deck off. The fan is easy to destroy and you have to split the tractor to replace it. I put a belly shield on my BX made out of some 1/4" UHMW that I had left over from the snow plow I built for it. BXpanded also sells a nice belly shield.  |
The fan was broken on my tractor when I got it. It is no fun replacing it. That white hub at the front of the transmission is supposed to have blades on it. The part was $6 but it took a few hours to replace it.
