There was a guy on here not long ago (I didn't think it was you Darrel, but maybe it was) who was having some kind of issue with either the radiator, or the engine vibrating or the fan hitting the radiator. Wish I could remember. Perhaps this was his problem as well. Something to look out for in the future for sure. I don't have a diesel tractor (yet) but I have never seen any that I've worked on, or anyone on here, mention one breaking there before.
