I can't help but wonder if the broken bolt on the cradle caused this failure... I think Ole George is right though... bad vibrations! LOL!
What is surprising though... even though by nature these 3 cylinder diesels vibrate pretty bad, this one wasn't!  There was no extra vibration anywhere, the radiator, nor the rear end yet there there was a lot wrong with it! Broken bolt on the cradle, broken weld and a stripped out spline coupler and worn drive shaft... My buddy who's a very good welder, is coming on Thursday. He'll patch her up and then she'll be singing pretty!
