Default First mow of 2018

This winter has been insane. Set a record for our longest streak of below freezing temps, something like 10 days. Three weeks later we got 11 inches of snow. Four weeks after that we have several consecutive days in the upper 70's. The grass/chickweed/onions over at my dad's house was getting way tall and actually needed mowing--as in taller than we let the grass get. I had to work yesterday so he snuck out and fired up the 2072 and had at it. Think he mowed for 2 hrs---quite remarkable considering how bad his health has been the past few months. He even rode up to my house and offered to mow my yard, I said sure (it didn't really need it but he needed something to do other than stare at the walls). I grabbed the 1811 and got in about 10 minutes worth of cutting. Its always a good day when your lawnmowers sit for 3-4 months untouched and fire right up!
