The relief valves on the top of the trans do not keep static pressure in the hydraulic system. Once the pump is off, the pressure is gone. No need to push on the buttons, even if they are there. That's not what they are for, or how they operate. No pressure is in the system once the pump is off.

I'm assuming that the lines are being removed for service?
