I overfilled it. Sorry for sounding so anal about a 1/4" overfill, but still learning my way around this tractor & really really like it. Cuts better than my previous tractor (JD 160) and don't want to inadvertently screw it up. When I eventually found the oil plug to drain for oil changes, realized at my unlimber age it ain't no easy job to get at the plug to drain off a couple of ounces. Thus my Q.
