I have a 42" mower deck that I bought for my 105 that I have been trying to get working. the mower deck has a model number on it of u-1111. Problem is the Mule drive, deck and tractor all came from different sources, so I have never had them working together.
I have it all mounted and am trying to put the mule drive belt on. Based on all the parts diagrams I have looked at, I should use an 81" belt, which is what I have.
Problem is, this belt seems way too tight. I managed to get it on, but I had to loosen the tensioner bolt all the way and unhook the tensioner spring.The pulley with the unhooked tensioner spring is now rubbing up on some metal and it seems like it would take way too much force to hook the spring up.
Should I just buy a longer belt? I can't find anything saying I should be using a longer belt, but I have seen there are some belt sizes all the way up to 89".
I've included a few pictures in case I'm doing anything obviously wrong.
