Engine wouldn't shut off.
I have a 42inch ZRT mower. I removed the engine cover to clean up some grime and used air pressure to clean around the carb. With the cover off, I started the engine. Then used the key switch to shut down. Engine still running. Got off the seat, expecting its safety switch to shut down to engine. Nope. I finally got it shut off using the lever arm sticking up thru the slot that holds the governing mechanism. There is a white wiring socket next to the front deck of the engine that was not seated completely. That fixed the problem. FYI. Any suggestion on how to stop the engine otherwise?
