What?? They aren't even close to the same.

Different engine mounting systems
Different hoods and frame/ Similar seat pan
Different steering ratio
Hydraulic levers on different sides of the dash.
Way different in much more than appearance.....

Yeah.... I'm with Lew. If there is one tractor series I don't mind seeing parted out it's a QL. (Sorry Beth!) They are like the most common Cub Cadet tractor there is. You can always find a QL for sale. Plus, the '82 styled tractors are so much more comfy.
