New to OCC. Own a 1641 and recently bought an 1862 for cottage My question is about the foam material I see behind the Kohler M18. Im guessing the purpose is to keep debris from entering into the engine shrouds as it draws air from below the tractor. I'm currently cleaning the engine and noticed the foam material preventing completely cleaning the back half of the engine compartment. Should I remove the material and clean it? What have others done? I have other questions, but I want to finish the clean-up first. Thanks.
