I thought this thread was going to talk about the 44" deck main drive belt.
I had a machine that used the "A" drive belt, and I put a deck under it that had a "B" main drive pulley,,
The A belt sat so deep in the B pulley, that the deck spun MUCH faster,,,
It worked great, and was the best cutting Cub Cadet deck I ever owned.
The local Cub Cadet dealer admitted
(after he quit selling Cub Cadets) that the Cub Cadet GT decks had the slowest tip speed in the industry.
He finally admitted he knew that it was a problem, but, he could not say anything negative about the brand he was selling.
Speeding up the blade tip speed made the Cub Cadet cut as nice as other color GT's,,,
