My thoughts, get it out of his shop. Take it home pull the rear cover drain the oil and put Hytran in it and the proper filter. Also get the parts he says he found in the oil and post a picture of them. I am with Jon on this one there is no way any of the springs could end up in the rear end. If he is not trying to screw you out of the engine at best he does not know what he is doing. Good luck. Did you tell him to drain the oil and change the filter?
