Terry, I had hoped this deck was in better shape but indeed the outer bearing cup areas are twisted.
Center to outside tips were off as much as a 1/2 inch. However, a trip local steel shop and part of a day down at the family farm shop later. Voila! New plates. Six to be exact.
Now I have extra plates for some of the other decks I have. I finally had a chance to use the plasma cutter. Very sweet!!!
I decided to copy the original middle plate and make it a bolt in instead of welding it it. I picked up 3/16 steel. The steel house sheered the squares for me. I only trimmed one corner of the squares to fit the slope/taper/angle of the deck tunnel. On the fence about turning them into complete hexagon or not. Might just add some extra bolt holes to the outer corners.
Have not beat flat and drilled the deck top yet.
