Jonathan at the risk of damaging our new found friendship I am going to way in here. I also agree with what everyone said about a zturn and a larger tractor if there are unlimited funds and we are in a perfect world. I mow around 5 acres and maintain 400 ft of stone driveway myself. Even though I have a zero turn and a TC33D I did all the cutting and driveway maintenance with my 1572 and it worked great. The mowing was no problem and I prefer the 50C deck over the 60". The key to the driveway was the DR power grader also well worth the money. The TC33D is too big with the loader to maneuver when conditioning the driveway even with the loader off it's too big. The 1572 is the perfect size and the diesel has plenty of power. Now my dilemma is now that I have decided to sell my supers what will I use to condition the drive. I have sold the 1772 already but I think I am going to have to keep the 1572. So to answer your original question about what cub to get I would say a Super diesel would handle the work just fine as it did for me for years. I did buy a new zturn with a 60" deck and it did cut own on the cutting time but after a month now I must say I really prefer cutting with the tractor. I find it more comfortable and I don't mind the time as it is my thinking time. I find cutting the grass is my time to relax. The super would also handle any gardening or tilling you need. The only issue I would have is if you need to do snow removal. Even though I have a plow for the 1572 I never used it. I know plenty of you plow a lot of snow with these supers and smaller tractors it's not for me. I don't even use the TC33D. Any plowing I do is in my F250.
