Yes, replace all the bearings. The upper bushing can be replaced with a bearing, and I would suggest it. No, I do not have the part number.
Yes, you should replace all the tie rods. If you want original style, you can get them about anywhere. If you want better, order heim joints. You can get either from McMaster Carr.
I thought you said you disconnected the wiring harness? Looks like the starter still has wires hooked to it.... and so does the coil. Come on man. Get the harness unhooked from EVERYTHING and go throw it in the trash.
I would think the issue with the S/G would be painfully obvious..... it has no rear mount. It isn't connected with washers as shims. The big stainless band clamp is holding it on. Come on, you have to know that isn't right. The mounting ear is broken off the rear end cap. At the very least, you need another end cap.

I didnt have a ton of time tonight so I'll get them cleaned up later this week.
I'll have to look into the tie rods. Thanks!
And the generator... I'll have to look at it better, I guess it just looked longer than it was supposed to be, I'll see if I can just order a cap. Only reason wiring is still attached is because i took the whole electrical system off at once. No worries, i promise all that junk will end up in the trash. I am going to stop at tractor supply later this week and see if i can find a bearing to replace the plastic upper bearing.
Thanks again!
