20 years ago, I wanted two fluorescent light fixtures to make a kitchen light for our home,,
They were asking $10 each for 2 new fixtures at a yard sale,,
I offered the lady $10 for both, it was 4:00 in the afternoon,,,
The lady hollered across the yard, asking her husband
if he would take $10,,
The husband replied,,,
"SURE, pay him the $10 to get rid of them!!" then he grinned,,,
I made the light fixture out of cherry, stained to kinda match the cabinets,,
it is still working perfectly!!
A neighbor gave me the wood, and he did the cutting/planing,,
he even had the stain and finish.
We have had a SUPER bright kitchen (four - 4 foot bulbs) for 2 decades,,
for $10 plus a few sets of bulbs,,,
$10 is my favorite price at yard sales,, nice find on the trailer!!
