He told me at roughly 2,000 rpm it starts making enough boost to keep running on its own fuel. Okay it has 4 turbos and to me that didn't make sense on a 6 cylinder. He explained first 2 paralleled turbo put out 75 pounds of boost into 3rd turbo and jumps the boost to 150 pounds and 4th turbo puts out 300 pounds of boost. That tractor started life at 100HP and now is roughly 3,000HP. I asked how expensive is all that HP. He rattled off all kinds of numbers for the various goodies. The one that got my attention. The head $200,000.00. He said that is what makes it all work.

And that's why I don't have a pulling tractor. My fair has three nights of pulling and I always go on the night they have the smokers and hot rod semi's. I don't even bother going on the night they pull stock truck, I think it's stupid to watch guys do thousands of dollars worth of damage to the truck they are relying on to get them to work the next day. We have a customer that blew the driveshaft out of his truck and also busted the transfer case pulling about three years ago and he can't afford to get the truck fixed but doesn't want to ruin his credit so he been making payments on a truck for three years that he can't drive.
