That's interesting. On my 1772 frame there is 2 sets of axle mounting holes 5.75" apart. I read on the wonderful internet one time that the forward set was the same as on a gt.

If you are measuring from the front of the hood to the rear of the tires 6.5" would be fairly close if you forgot to factor in the larger tires.

On the other hand if you got a good measurement from the hood to the fenders on each one, that would be tough to argue with.

I don't personally have a super and a gt in the same series to measure like that.
