Spot spraying to me has always been a very hard thing to nail down a rate, at least to me. From my experience, it always seems spot spraying puts far more of the carrier (water in this case) out than blanket/field spraying. I'd mix at roughly the mid rate and spray with a light spray, assuming you are dealing with weeds under a couple inches. Give it a week or two and see what happens. Seems to be one of those trial and error procedures almost.
FWIW, maybe things have stopped growing where you are, but I just sprayed some Roundup yesterday. Will quite possibly have to spray some fields toward the end of the month. Farm road needs it now, just don't have time to do it. Unless the product you are using has some residual effect, you'll have to spray multiple times per year.
