I'm going to give an example. In this thread, there was a discussion about using a rubber strip on a plow for snow. Jon disagreed and said a steel strip is the way to go. I said it would probably depend on the surface being plowed, but to each his own on his preference. So Jon replied:

"Someone said it's personal preference..... not really. More like inexperienced operator who needs it to be easier to compensate for ability. Sorry if that offends.... just how I see it. I learned at the age of 10 on a 340 Farmall (IH) tractor how to blade snow off gravel and keep it from digging in. It can be done."

So how does that answer help anybody? He said anyone that uses a rubber strip on a plow is basically an idiot that doesn't know how to plow. That advice isn't going to help anybody, all it did was rile people up because some people did believe that a rubber wear strip helped. As I said, it seemed to be a personal preference, but Jon disagreed, and all he did was offend people, and tell them how he's better then them. Does he offer good advice at times? Yes. Does he sometimes make comments to try and prove he's better than you? Yes. The condescending attitude is what gets some people riled up the most. Nobody likes to be called stupid. I myself feel that making mistakes, or asking for help, is how you learn. I didn't come here to be talked down to.
