The problem is when new people come, and don't expect answers like that. It's not very welcoming when you have a problem and are treated like your stupid for not being able to figure it out on your own.

That about sums it up. So it's up to the owners of the forum. Do they want to make this a more exclusive club with only a few existing members? Or do they want the forum to grow? You can't cater to someone that insults new members if you want the forum to grow.
