Mom and Pop power equipment store
Well I went to visit my local mom and pop power equipment store this morning... happened to be on that side of town and thought to stop in say hey and pick up a few things.. I have known these people my whole life and they helped me get started working on Cubs way back in the 70's. Their store was opened in the mid 1950's and they still run it today!
I was really expecting to get them to order a few things and pick up a few things they had... BUT they had EVERYTHING in stock! These people are amazing... didn't have to look one single thing up... I just walk in, tell him what I want and BAM he gets it off the shelf?? Where are you going to find service like that anywhere these days?
Sad thing is, this man and woman are both in their late 80's... their kids tried to run it and couldn't, and their grandkids want nothing to do with the business.. I'm scared they are gonna retire and close this place up.
Just sad that 25 years ago places like this were everywhere and now you can't find anybody to give service like this or anybody that wants to give service...
Just thought I'd give a shout out to my old friends and thank them for their 60 plus years of service!
