So then you just open the side you want to work with. I know it would take some metal fab but I don't think it would be too much work. I don't think the blower will be as powerful with flap on opposite side from original opening. Probably a significant difference. What I visualize is the impeller turning away from opening rather than towards it. Unless opening place at the top pointing downward.
